Chocolate cake German

 



*INGREDIENTS:


°1 pack Pillsbury Moist Supreme German Chocolate Cake Mix

°Additional ingredients to prepare cake mix according to package directions

°1 tablespoon of butter

°1 cup pecan pieces

°2 tubs of Pillsbury Creamy Supreme coconut and pecan flavored frosting

°1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


* INSTRUCTIONS :


Prepare cake mix according to pack methods .

Divide batter among 3 prepared round cake pans (8 inches).

Bake and cool according to package directions, but reduce baking time to 19-22 minutes.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the pecan pieces. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Remove from skillet. Let cool.

Place 1 layer of cake on a serving platter, rounded side down.

Top with about 1 cup frosting.

Repeat layers of cake and frosting two more times.

Arrange the cooled pecans over the frosting on top of the cake.

Microwave chocolate in small heavy-duty plastic bag for 35-45 seconds or until melted and smooth when kneaded.

Cut a small corner of the bag.
