Fried Green Tomatoes

 



You can also roast red tomatoes for this recipe, but make sure they are not cooked thoroughly or they will become soft. Serve these tomatoes outside with a cup of iced tea on a summer night and enjoy the sunset with someone you love.


* ingredients :


° 4 large green tomatoes

° 2 eggs

° Half a cup of milk

° 1 cup all-purpose flour

° Half a cup of cornmeal

° rusk cup

° 2 tsp coarse kosher salt

° Half tsp black pepper

° 1 L oil vegetable oil


* Preparation : 


Step 1

Slice the tomatoes 1/2 inch thick. Ignore the endings.

Step 2

Whisk eggs and milk together in a medium-sized bowl. Put the flour in a plate.Mix /corn flour, breadcrumbs, salt & pepper in other bowl.Dip tomatoes in flour.ThAnden dip tomatoes to milk and egg blending .Sprinkling with bread crumbs to totally covered.

Step 3 Put vegetable oil in a large saucepan (enough to make 1/2 inch of oil in the saucepan) and heat it over medium heat.According to the size of the pan, divide the tomatoes into 4 or 5 portions.Don't stack tomatoes, they shouldn't touch every other. When the tomatoes turn brown, turn them over and fry on the other side. Drain them on paper towels.
